Our camper is a lightweight, full featured truck camper built for the serious overlander. At Haven Overland, we’ve been passionately participating in vehicle based travel for nearly a decade and over the years we found ourselves putting together a wishlist of everything we’d like to see in our ideal overland camper. Our camper is the fruition of a seemingly unattainable “pipe dream” wishlist and we couldn’t be happier with the result! Countless hours have already been spent on design and production development and we’re now building the first prototypes. We’re so excited to bring what we think will be a game changing development to the overland community and we hope you’re excited too!

After hundreds, if not thousands, of hours in design development. We’re thrilled with our exterior aesthetic. We made a special effort to cater to the existing body lines and shapes of the much beloved Toyota Tacoma to produce an unmatched aesthetic while maximizing function and overall interior space. We truly think that this truck and camper are a match made in heaven.

Midsize trucks, especially the Tacoma, are notoriously lacking in terms of payload capacity. When designing our camper we realized that the best way to address this issue is by shedding the weight of the factory truck bed. After removing the bed and replacing it with our camper shell (sans interior buildout and accessories) we’re estimated to stay within 100-300 lbs. of the factory weight of the truck. This is a game changing feature for the serious overland traveler that proves overlanding doesn’t have to mean overloading.

Every body panel used to build our camper is custom made in house here at Haven Overland. Using aerospace grade vacuum resin infusion technology we custom fabricate each body panel out of carbon fiber skinned foam core. This method of construction makes for incredibly strong, lightweight, and thermally efficient body panels which are then bonded together into a single piece monocoque style habitat.

FAQs
Q: What will your retail price be?
A: As we are currently developing our first prototype campers we have not yet set our retail price. Sign up for updates here on our site and follow us on Instagram for later information on pricing as we progress through the development process.
Q: Is your camper compatible with any other midsize truck models?
A: Our camper was specifically designed and modeled after the iconic Toyota Tacoma. The Tacoma is our platform of choice and as such we have not tested the camper on other midsize models and do not plan to in the immediate future.
Q: Will your camper fit on my short bed Tacoma?
A: Our first production models will only be compatible with long bed (6ft) Tacoma models. We do plan to develop a short bed version at a later time.
Q: Will the this camper fit on the new Tundra?
A: As mentioned, we developed our camper specifically for Tacoma, we are, however, looking into our options for compatibility with Tundra models. Again, stay tuned by signing up for our email updates and follow us on Instagram for more.
Q: When can I get a camper for myself?
A: We are currently in the process of building and testing our first prototypes and as such we hope to be ready to start our first production campers in spring of 2026. Q: Does the roof pop up? What style is the pop up system?
A: Yes! You may notice we haven’t included any renderings of the pop up design as it the final design is still in review, but rest assured that we plan a spacious interior that’s true to our name as your very own “Haven” away from home.
